Yoga with Jas
Classes with Jas develop connection with ourselves, with each other and with the wider natural world. These connections are deepened within class as well as via education about- and proceeds to- organisations that support social and environmental justice.
About Jas
Connection, Community, Liberation
I am a 500hr qualified teacher (and lifelong student), trained under Indian schools, with a passion for yoga as a tool for inner and outer empowerment and liberation. I believe in the power of yoga to develop connection, compassion and belonging in our lives, and in the world.
I qualified as a multi-style yoga teacher in 2018, studying a further specialism in Trauma Informed yoga in 2020. In 2022 I undertook another 300hr training in Hatha and Ashtanga yoga.
As well as teaching yoga, I am a freelance event designer and workshop facilitator in spaces for social and environmental justice and resilience. I am Queer and always exploring ways that we can create spaces that allow all people to bring their fullest selves to events.
Since 2020 my online community classes and fundraising series have raised more than £2000 for non-profit organisations and charities including: GiveIndia, Thamra in Gaza, Black Minds Matter, The Say It Loud Club, Bloody Good Period, Land In Our Names, Choose Love, The Woodland Trust, Yemen Aid, Bees and Refugees and more.

My Classes
My classes generally incorporate pranayama, meditation, asana and bite-sized philosophy.
I am currently mainly teaching online, with some adhoc classes in Lewes (Sussex, UK).
My online classes are offered on a Pay-As-You-Feel basis and open to all levels of experience. Drop me an email to join my whatsapp group for updates about online classes.
Testimonials
'Jas is a wonderfully inclusive, understanding, patient, kind and relaxing yoga teacher. Jas' sessions always give so much thought, energy and understanding and I always finish practise feeling peaceful and energised. I highly recommend Yoga with Jas, it's great!'
- Libby, England

'I have loved Jas' yoga classes and the warm, gentle and mindful space provided for a wonderful practise. I always leave feeling more full and with more capacity to face challenges.'
- Alice, England
'We've practised with so many yoga teachers, but Jas is really one of our favourites. Jas has a perfect voice and we immediately feel at ease. Jas is able to feel the level of energy in a group and what the group needs. They adapt the practise to this and take you with their thoughts and knowledge, making it a special experience.'
- Gelske, Netherlands
'Meditation is not to escape from society, but to come back to ourselves and see what is going on. Once there is seeing, there must be acting. With mindfulness we know what to do and what not to do to help.'
